We invite children in 2nd to 6th grade to join our
Kids Sing Choir!
In a supportive and nurturing environment, Mona
Dena, Director of Mo Music, will lead 10-20 singers
in learning the craft of choral singing.
Our Kids Sing Choir:
• Incorporates vocal warm-ups
• learns and practices vocal technique that
support a healthy and effective singing voice
• become versed in breathing, vowel and
consonant resonation/articulation, and expression
• gains exposure to music of various styles
Mona has a B.A. in Vocal Performance and holds a
teaching credential from California State University,
Hayward. She has completed advanced Kodaly
studies at Holy Names College (Oakland, CA), and
has been singing professionally for 20 years in
choirs, jazz combos and Big Bands. She taught
choir for 7 years at San Mateo's Bayside Middle
School for the Arts, and was Music and Choir
Director at St. Peter's Church in Redwood City for
several years. With the introduction of our Kids
Sing Choir, she is thrilled to come back to the role
of choral director.
