Alison Curcio, Music Together Teacher
Possessing a lifelong commitment to music, we are fortunate to have Alison Curcio
as a teacher within our Mo Music community. Alison’s study of music includes
piano instruction since early childhood and extensive vocal training as an adult. She
holds degrees in Piano Performance from Skidmore College and Music Therapy
from Montclair University, has served as professional accompanist to many choirs
and soloists, and has taught piano for over twenty years.
Alison discovered our program while attending class with her eldest daughter ten
years ago, and she currently attends with her second daughter — she knew early
on that becoming a Music Together teacher was a perfect way to exercise her
professional background, previous work leading Mommy and Me Music classes,
and firsthand understanding of parenting young children! Alison relocated from New
York with her husband and daughters 5 years ago. They live in Half Moon Bay.
Amy teaches at St. Peter’s, one of our two Redwood City locations.

Betty Wu
Music Together and Kids Sing Teacher
Betty is delighted to join Mo Music where she will continue
to grow her passion for working with children, for singing,
and for playing the keyboard. She has fostered a love of
music since childhood, having sung in choirs and played
piano from second grade forward. As an adult, she has
been a member of the Peninsula Women’s Chorus and
the ChingChing Choir and has studied voice privately.
Betty’s music work with children is extensive. She is
trained in both Kodaly (the Hungarian singing pedagogy)
and the Orff method (a Germanic music education
approach). In recent years she has taught music classes
to first graders, conducted and accompanied for a
children’s chorus, and assisted in an Orff music class for
preschoolers.
Prior to becoming a music professional, she had a
successful career with the software companies Oracle
and Siebel. She also worked as a high school math tutor,
personal/workspace organizer, and is currently pursuing a
masters degree in counseling psychology. Betty’s diverse
professional history, musical and otherwise, makes her a
special addition to our circle of teachers.
Betty teaches at our Redwood City location.
