Alison Curcio, Music Together Teacher
Possessing a lifelong commitment to music, we are fortunate to have Alison Curcio as a
teacher within our Mo Music community. Alison’s study of music includes piano instruction
since early childhood and extensive vocal training as an adult. She holds degrees in Piano
Performance from Skidmore College and Music Therapy from Montclair University, has
served as professional accompanist to many choirs and soloists, and has taught piano for
over twenty years.
Alison discovered our program while attending class with her eldest daughter ten years ago,
and she currently attends with her second daughter — she knew early on that becoming a
Music Together teacher was a perfect way to exercise her professional background,
previous work leading Mommy and Me Music classes, and firsthand understanding of
parenting young children! Alison relocated from New York with her husband and daughters
5 years ago. They live in Half Moon Bay.
Amy teaches at St. Peter’s, one of our two Redwood City locations.

Sean Mendelson
Music Together and Kids Sing Teacher
As a 3rd grader walking through an ordinary day, Sean
discovered the power of music … the sound of guitar drew
him to a room where a friend was taking a lesson, and from
that time forward Sean never put his guitar down. At Santa
Clara University he majored in Music and Communications,
where he studied classical/jazz guitar, promoted open mics,
and played in the jazz ensemble and choir.
While a student, Sean wrote scores for two films: a
documentary on Willie Mays and a film about a current
teaching method. He has also written the musical score for a
pre-natal yoga DVD. His greatest passion is songwriting, and
for three years he has performed with his rock band, Mirror
Image (www.mirrorimagemusic.net). More than five years
ago Sean was performing in Redwood City when he chanced
upon a poster for Music Together classes; he has been
teaching with us ever since and cannot think of a more
fulfilling job.
At home Sean engages his baby, Logan, in musical play, which
in turn keeps his classes fresh and fun!
Sean teaches at our Redwood City and Woodside locations.
