Teacher With substantial voice and piano training to her credit, Emily has been singing in choirs as long as she can remember (it was, in fact, in a choir that she found her husband!) Emily higher education includes degrees in Choral Music Education and Elementary Education from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. Since moving to California in 2001, she has sung with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, with whom she recorded the Grammy-winning Mahler's Third Symphony. Emily taught for two years at Bayside Middle School in San Mateo, where she met Mona Dena. When Mona left Bayside to begin working with Music Together, Emily assumed Mona’s position as choir director/ music teacher. In 2003, Emily gave birth to her daughter, Lydia, and began looking for ways to combine her love of music with her young child’s needs. Music Together proves the ideal combination, and Emily is thrilled to be following in Mona's footsteps again.
